Discovery Days with Jersey Heritage

A new series of family fun and learning days (aimed at children between 6 and 16) started at Jersey Museum on Saturday 6th Feb.  The 'Fairy Tale Trail' was just the first in a series of 13 Discovery Days taking place in 2010 at Jersey Heritage sites.  Visit any Jersey Heritage site or click here to find out more and get a free Flash Card for your child.

Jersey did its bit for Haiti last Sunday

A number of Jersey people did their bit on Sunday and supported Save the Children by joining the Hike for Haiti from Greve de Lecq to L'Etacq.  Save the Children still need our help so remember to keep giving.

Cuties in the snow!

It seems the snowy weather is finally leaving Jersey and its warming up a little.  Good news all round it seems!  Whilst the snow was fun it does get a little tedious in Jersey - not quite the same as in our favourite ski resorts. We did all have a good time last weekend though and we've included lovely pics of little ones playing in the snow.

Check out how our 'Mum on the Rock' makes her French Toast (posh Eggy bread).

"I use the fruit loaf from M&S instead of plain bread and soak it in beaten egg with a splash of milk, some vanilla essence and cinnamon.

Once the bread is totally soaked in the eggy mix, fry it in some melted butter until the egg is cooked. For an extra treat I sprinkle the toast with icing sugar and whizz some blueberries and strawberries round the pan to warm through –yum!"
